do you contact the vendors or do they contact you? 12th Night sent me a packet with stuff to fill out already but I dunno about anyone else.
I have to change a few things with the florists so should I call them?

09er crashing.. I think everyone on the 09 board is sleeping
I would call your venders if you don't hear from them.. in a perfect world, I think everyone would send you a final statement, but the world is not perfect- its also something that I see myself wanting to get taken care of so that I don't have to worry about last minute things!

i would call the florist if you have changes b/c you don't know when they'll put their orders in to get the flowers.
other vendors you have time to worry about... most contact you 1-2 weeks before the wedding. my bakery called the day before the wedding!
they usually know what they are doing but if you don't want to wait around, just call them and tell them you weren't sure what you were supposed to do.

it can't hurt to be on top of things, and give them a call to check in .... so that you can schedule them when its most convenient for you ... though, you might want to be prepared for the possible vendor who just isn't ready to finalize things with you yet because they're busy working on their april and early may weddings.

I called my vendors in mid March (before they had contacted me) to schedule all my appts.

i would call them. Esp the florist b/c they need to order flowers. My dj just called me the week before and it was fine.

None of mine have contacted me, except my DOC who checks in I have emailed most of them in March and told them I would reach out to them again in April to set up final appts. All replied back that was fine....
