? about makeup for day of...

What are some important things to discuss or ask the hair and makeup artist when booking for day of wedding?

Do they normally give you samples the day of so you can do touch-ups throughout the day (meaning is it included in the price) or do you have to buy these extra?

i actually did purchase the lip gloss/liner that my make up artist used on me---since i figured i'd need to touch up. that was really the only thing that i think most brides have to purchase. it was about $15 additional.

for hair--ask them how they want the hair treated beforehand. many times stylists don't want you to wash or flat iron your air the day before. my hair stylists told me to blow my hair out the nite before---but under no circumstances should i flat iron it.

make sure you have extra bobby pins that day--as sometimes you gotta hold the hair up a bit.

verify all times with them -- how long will it take for them to do 1 head of hair or 1 make up application, and go thru the # of people who are getting things done to ensure they have more than enough time to do everyone up.

I would make sure first of all you are happy with the trial and make sure that she has a copy of what it will look like on the day. Most do not give you samples but, I am going to purchase a similar lipstick. Also, they apply a cream before to make sure it holds all day. When you go for your trial make sure you see how long it lasts throughout the day. Im sure you will have alot of things on your mind to have to worry about touching up your makeup!

I'm worried because my skin is sensitive and breaks out easily... And not washing my hair.. oh no!!... my hair gets so oily if I don't wash it every day...

I am sensative sally when it comes to the skin. Where do I start, hives, ecezema, etc! I just had my makeup trial sat, you can check my album, and I was fine. She recomended Aveeno for my skin. I had it done at 10am and went waitressing from 4pm til 11pm and it was still perfect when I got home.
