absolutely HORRIBLE experience with david's bridal!!!

so my mom, my sister (moh) and i went to david's bridal tonight to pick up their 2 dresses for my wedding, which is now less than 2 months away. when we got there, they both went to try them on. my mom came out of the room in hers and my sister came out a few minutes later with her eyes puffy from crying and she was in her clothes, holding her dress, saying that it doesn't fit... turns out they ordered the wrong size!!!!

when the woman called corporate to see if they could get a new one shipped here before the wedding, it wasn't able to be done. they instead tried to blame it on me because they called me in october to tell me that the dresses were in but we didn't come until tonight, and if we had just come in october, this could have been handled then... um WHAT?!?!?! YOU STILL EFFED UP!!!!! I WAS FUMING!!!

for 2 hours, we were in the store and i wound up having to change the color of her dress (she was in a different color from the bm's and she will now be in the same color) and she had to order an entirely different dress... she was in tears the whole time... she's plus size and most of the dresses weren't available in her size or weren't available to be ordered in time for the wedding...

i cannot believe they did this and i am so angry that i'm calling headquarters tomorrow!!!

lake grove... i never had a problem there until tonight... i cannot believe they made a mistake like this and then tried to blame me, without even offering an apology!

omggg im so sorry you guys had that happen!!! at least there is a solution to it, sux that she'll be in the same color as bm's but at least its not that big of a thing ya know... and THANK GOODNESS they were able to give her a replacement

aw, i'm so sorry about this. I like DB for their prices but I have heard too many bad stories about them. I'm soooo sorry they tried to blame you for this; I don't see how you not picking it up in October would have preventing your sister having to get a new dress in a different color.

I hope corporate will be able to give you some type of discount or something.

that suuucks... can the dress be let out at all??

i understand what DB means but it still doesnt explain why they ordered the wrong size... some people are morons

wowm, thats where i got my dresses. i am surprised they would not work with you more because generally their dresses come in so fast!

OMG I was afraid to go to DB b/c of these stories!!

I'm SO sorry that happened to you - honestly there's nothing like being embarassed and then being blamed for it!

I'm also surprised that the new dress won't be in on time - it seems like those dresses are ready so fast??

At least a solution is made, but you should DEF contact corporate and demand a discount!!

This is sooooooo sad!!!! I hope that when you call corproate they can alleviate the problem and get you what you want. Seriously, you shouldn't settle for something you don't want!

Unfortunately, DB is hit or miss. Some locations are great and some really s*ck. I'm so sorry you have to go through this. You should really get some money back for having to settle for a dress you didn't want in the first place! Good luck!!

DB in Lake Grove is HORRIBLE!!!! My cousin used them for her wedding and BM's and they ruined my cousins BM dress

I called corporate and left a message so hopefully they will call back today but I won't even be able to pick up the phone becuase I have work in 10 minutes until 5:30, and they aren't open all weekend, so I'll have to call again on Monday. I'm still so infuriated over this. My other BM dresses came in quick but because of this color, they said it wouldn't come in on time, and there was nothing they could do. They couldn't do a rush order or anything, even though THEY messed up. I just don't know how this happened and I'm still horrified that they even tried to blame me just because I didn't come in as soon as they called. I'm sorry that I work and go to school literally EVERY single day of the week, and my mom is working constantly because my father was laid off and is on disability and my sister works all day, every day. This was the only time all 3 of us could get there together, and we wanted to be together for this because we haven't been able to do much of any wedding related stuff just the 3 of us. I just think it's so inexcusable to try to blame me when they're the ones that messed up with ordering the wrong size dress in the first place....

I mean I'm trying to look at the bright side and see that now all the girls will have the same color and just different dresses, but I really wanted my sister to stand out in this different color, which is the color I liked more.
