absolutely HORRIBLE experience with david's bridal!!!

so my mom, my sister (moh) and i went to david's bridal tonight to pick up their 2 dresses for my wedding, which is now less than 2 months away. when we got there, they both went to try them on. my mom came out of the room in hers and my sister came out a few minutes later with her eyes puffy from crying and she was in her clothes, holding her dress, saying that it doesn't fit... turns out they ordered the wrong size!!!!

when the woman called corporate to see if they could get a new one shipped here before the wedding, it wasn't able to be done. they instead tried to blame it on me because they called me in october to tell me that the dresses were in but we didn't come until tonight, and if we had just come in october, this could have been handled then... um WHAT?!?!?! YOU STILL EFFED UP!!!!! I WAS FUMING!!!

for 2 hours, we were in the store and i wound up having to change the color of her dress (she was in a different color from the bm's and she will now be in the same color) and she had to order an entirely different dress... she was in tears the whole time... she's plus size and most of the dresses weren't available in her size or weren't available to be ordered in time for the wedding...

i cannot believe they did this and i am so angry that i'm calling headquarters tomorrow!!!

Corporate better do something about it.. They should give you this dress for free!!!!!!!!!!!! I went to DB in NJ in June to try on a BM dress and the store was empty so I tried on some wedding dresses. I liked one dress but I was not ready to buy it as I wanted my mom to be with me. The lady was like you need to buy this dress today and I said no I will come later and try it on. She took my cell and now since June she calls me every 2 weeks and leaves vm on my cell for me to come back and buy that dress.. UGH I would think that she gets the point if I do not call her back or answer after 5 months..

ughh that is so annoying. Why did the dress take so long? the dresses I was looking at would have only have taken a month or so.
I had to go there to get a bm dress and couldnt order it new but we found her size and color at a different store it was in great condition and they shipped it to her. That wasnt an option that they gave you??

i am so sorry that you had to deal with this stress and your poor sister. unfortunately problems like this can happen at any bridal suite...i've had issues with ones other than davids and a small issue at davids as well...its something you just have to watch out for and find solutions when stuff happens. that's the good thing, at least they were able to find a solution for you. good luck with the rest of your planning, hopefully this is it for super stressful moments. Also, you will not be paying for alterations right? They should alter the dress on them since they made this massive mistake.

I also had a HORRIBLE experience with David's Bridal (Lake Grove).
Well to begin with when the bridal party & I went to p/u there dresses they were ALL ordered WRONG!!! Correct sizes but WRONG DRESS!!!!
They also ordered MY bridal shoes in GOLD NOT WHITE!! UNREAL!!!! Then they wouldn't take them back!! So I told them I am going to cancel EVERYTHING if they don't so they took them back.
Fastforward to the 2nd dress p/u...Thank God they were all in!! Now I don't ever have to deal with them again. I have been telling everyone DO NOT GO TO DAVIDS BRIDAL!!!!! THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!!!!!
(Sorry I had to vent too!!!)

how awful!! after makeing a mistake and making you and your poor MOH feel like crapola they didnt even apoligize to you!!!!!!!!!!!!11 id be SSSSOOOOO POed!! good luck on your call!!!
