Re: Absolutely LIVID...need advice!!

You definitely have every right to be Livid.
That is just wrong. I agree with some of the other girls said about picking the dress that you want. It's your wedding!!!
It's YOUR DAY YOUR WAY!!!!!!

I would certainly discuss how you feel to FH. That is just not right to do.

Sorry you are going through this especially since you are not feeeling good.

Hang in there Marissa and I hope you feel better!

You def have the right to be mad, and like the girls said you can't please everyone!

If you like the dress that is ALL that matters! You pick the dress you want them to wear for your wedding!

Remember to pick your battles, now and in marriage. Make your point, of course. But don't make it life's worst tradegy...even if you end up NOT choosing the dress you wanted for them. I mean, of course you can't hate it either.
It's hard making EVERYONE happy, especially when you have so many people in the bridal party!!!!
Maybe they can compromise on one and go with that. You have to remember, since here are a lot of people, they all have different tastes. And of course the bride needs to be happy, but so do your girls too. Their happiness count as well!!!!

Just remember, you will be the one everyone is looking at. And no matter what happens, youre gettin everything you want anyway!! The day belongs to you , and nobody can take that away from you!!!!

Good luck!!!

Re: Absolutely LIVID...need advice!!

I can not thank you girls enough for all of your support, kind words and advice. You are all making me feel so much better. I can't tell you how upsetting this is. I have known my FI since we were in kindegarten and I have never been sooo upset with him as I am today. He totally disrespected me and has made me feel like crap. I refuse to talk to him until I calm down and as stubborn as he is, I don't intend on talking to him for a while. In his mind this was all okay. I won't get a sorry from him nor a phone call to make sure all is okay.....cause he thinks taking the bridal party shopping without even picking up the phone to ask me to go is/was okay. It's all beyond me!! Ughh I'm sooo mad. But you girls have helped me sooo much and I'm truely thankful to all of you. Don't know what I'd do without my fellow 06ers!!! I shall keep you all updated!!

I don't mean this to be disrespectful; I'd be mad, too, but just to be devil's advocate, maybe your FI misinterpreted or 'tried too hard' (and then made a mess, mine does this all the time!!) based on your email that the dresses need to be seen in person?

It will all work out! You should be the one at the salon with the girls and the dressis your choice!

I think you have a right to be a little upset... He should of told you that he was at least going to take them to look at the dress you picked, and i believe his intentions were to ensure them you made a good decision... and then I think then the girls probably started looking themselves at other dresses and he thought this would be all ok.... He probably thought he was doing a good thing and i'm sure he had good intentions, but just the one thing i would be upset about is that he didn't tell you he was going with them in the first place...even a quick phone call from the cell would have been good. Best of Luck and keep us posted on what happens!
