Accomodation Card

Accomodation Card

I am having 'her' make up my accomodation cards....

Should I have on there that rooms are being held until JULY 27th at a discounted rate, and to please make all arrangements by then?

After July 27th the rooms go back to the standard rate and are open to the public

Or just leave it alone have the hotel info and let everyone do it on their own. I don't want to pressure them but I also dont want them to spend more money.

anyone?

hmm.. good question. One one hand letting them know the date is helping them out. But on the other hand it COULD sound pushy.

I think as long as it's worded correctly you can put the date in.

not to sound mean, I don't really care. I already told the people closest to me that it should be done even before invites go out.

I would DEFINITELY include that info about the date to book by, otherwise people might not realize the rate will change! I know many people (myself included) put things off to the last minute and that would really stink to miss out on the lower rate! At least you're giving them a heads up, if they don't book by then it's their loss.

Now you have me wondering if my hotel's rate goes up a month before the wedding (I know they 'release' the rooms at that point, not sure about the rate). I did write to book a month before on the accommodation card.

I let my guests know that rate would be expiring.

OH I wouldn't put the second line.... 'after July 27th the rooms go back to the standard rate and are open to the public'.....

Probably just the first line above and yes, worded better

i would include it.
the cards my hotel gave me said that the rooms are help up until a month before the event date.
i can tell you the exact wording later if you need... i don't have one with me. just FM if you need me too!

Put it. I put it on mine. I think mine says something like 'rooms must be booked by 5/5/10 to receive the discounted rate.'. I don't remember, but you have mine so take a look lol

This sounds good.

Or like 'please book your rooms by July 27th to ensure the group rate of $100/night.'

Re: Accomodation Card

I think you need to put the date. I would be upset if I didn't know and called too late!

Can someone post what is written on their accomodations cards?

Re: Accomodation Card

yeah, I think you definitely have to let them know that they have to have their room booked a month before... I would want to know info like that.... (we are last-minuters)

I kind of also don't think it even matters how you word it. It's not like you're saying 'if I don't have 25 rooms booked, I don't get mine for free....' you're doing it FOR them....

just add a line: 'rooms must be booked by xxxxx in order to recieve the special discounted rate'....

Re: Accomodation Card

Definitely put it on there. I didn't even realize the discounted rate wasn't held open after a month before and I didn't include it and several friends from OOT had problems (I ended up calling the hotel and asking them for an extension). A lot of people from OOT don't realize the urgency of doing things in advance.
