Hi ladies - anyone else on this drug? It's totally cleared up my skin (I didn't have cystic acne - just tons of little pimples on my forehead). Now it's smooth as a baby's azz but my lips are SO dry from it... I've been using aquaphor like crazy but do you girls have any better remedies?? It stinks b/c whenever I eat spicy food, which I love, my lips burn like crazy... Any suggestions would be appreciated...

I never went on accutane...but an ex bf of mine went on it in HS....like 8 years ago LOL.... and it was sooooo controversial. His lips seriously cracked so bad it spread all over the side of his face. It was terrible :( I felt sooooo bad for him I hope that doesnt happen to you hun!!!!!!

I went on accutane about 8 years ago.. i know what you mean about the dry lips!! my lips were so dry it was really out of control...
i used straight up vaseline on them... hope that helps

i was on accutane last yr bc i had little bumps that would keep coming back...buy accusoothe for ur lips i found it in cvs and its the only thing that worked realllllly goood and its basically made for accutane users...i put it on like 20 times a day....my prescription wasnt that high i was on 20mg and then went to 40mg

ooo...this sounds perfect! I wish I knew about this when I was on it!
First I have to say...LOVE Accutane!!! OMG...I was a MESS! Now I have clear skin....and I've been off of it for 5 years. When I was on it I did have dry lips. I actually used Neosporin when the cracks were bad. It helped...granted you don't want to use it a lot for the sake of getting it in your mouth..yuck. I also used vaseline.

I was on Accutane all the way back in 1996, when they were giving doses much stronger than they give now. Boy did I suffer (from dry EVERYTHING), but it was so worth it. For my lips, Carmex was a lifesaver - that stuff in those little round jars with the yellow lids. It's usually up on the counter at drugstores by the register.

I was on Accutane about 2 years ago. I have to agree, I LOVED it also. My lips got dry but towards the middle to end of my treatment. I mainly used Aquaphor and sometimes Vasoline and Carmex and I was fine. This was all worth it in the end!
