ACK..makeover decsion
Ok guys..I just got back from having a makeover at Sephora.
I wanted to try to save money and just learn how to apply everything myself and buy some stuff..
Well, the makeup I needed would of come to 200 bucks and I look like a clown.
Is it stupid to purchase all new makeup and do this myself when I can have a makeup artist do it for less?
Any advise and/or recomendations would be helpful.
Thanks

Re: ACK..makeover decsion
For $200 I would go with a make up artist that you can probably go for much less. I know make up artist that can do a beautiful job for $50-$75 and you definetly won't look like a clown...lol
One thing also which is good by doing it yourself is that you will be able to use the make up again so the $200 won't be a waste of money.

Re: ACK..makeover decsion
Go with a makeup artist. Most offer free or inexpensive trials and to do your makeup the day of your wedding should be under $200.I am using Jacqueline Nicole and she is a vendor on this board. She will listen to you and do your makeup how you want to look. Her trial is free. Airbrush makeup costs $25. She is very sweet and very easy to work with.
Good luck to you.

Re: ACK..makeover decsion
personally...I spent $200 buying my own makeup...b/c I know the majority I will wear often...like the foundation etc. I thought it was more economical...however, if you don't wear makeup normally, then it may not be the best decision...

Re: ACK..makeover decsion
I would definitely have it done by a professional. A certified make-up artist has taken classes on this and will know the best colors and textures for your skin. They also use make-up that is a lot more than $200 that lasts and lasts. . . I'm using Jillian from Gorgeous Faces, she advertises on here, and she is definitely affordable! Call her for a trial!

Re: ACK..makeover decsion
I am also using Jillian from Gorgeous Faces. When I had my trial I liked some of the makeup she used as everyday makeup and bought some of it from her. Thats an option also if you want to put it on yourself. Its more affordable...Welcome New Vendors
