Acoustic guitar songs for ceremony?

Acoustic guitar songs for ceremony?

Hi ladies,
Has anyone done this, or will you be doing this for your wedding? My pal is getting married in October, and DH - being the all around awesome guy that he is - has agreed to provide the ceremony music by playing acoustic guitar. I'm just trying to help him out by coming up with some ideas. So far, the only criteria is that he plays Satellite by Dave Matthews Band as she is walking down the aisle - so we need:

Prelude (as guests are seated)
Processional
Recessional

He's a very talented and classicaly trained musician, so he can pretty much cover anything. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! And I thought I was finished with the wedding song selections! TIA!

thanks!
I know she loves DMB, so we're definitly going to try a few of those, but I'll check out that soundtrack and see what DH thinks! :)

'Out of the Woods' by Nickel Creek.

Check out Nickel Creek in general - that song is on their self-titled debut CD, but their second CD, This Side, is incredible as well.

ETA: We're using Out of the Woods for our processional.

The first thing that popped into my head was that acoustic song, 'More than words.' I hope that's the name of the song--I can pictures the video in my head with two guys with long hair, one playing the other singing. I don't know if you'd want to walk down the aisle to it, but i might be nice as pre-ceremony music when everyone is waiting for you to walk out.

Landslide by Fleetwood Mac...i have no idea if it is appropriate, wording wise, but it is what popped into my head and the guitar is tremendous.

OMG I'm going to cry! That is one of my favorite songs and I didn't even think of it! now I have a pic of this in my head of her wedding day and this playing - I'm so happy for her! Thank you SO much - I'm definitly adding this to my list for Craig :) I'm also trying to think of Bily Joel songs hat translate well to guitar only (since it's mostly piano...) bc my friend loves him too.

Keep em coming ladies!

Yep, the song is called More than Words, and it's by Extreme.

We had a good friend of ours 'Love Song' by Third Day - it sounded great. However, double check with the church what they will allow to be played - we could only do sacred songs, and had to have them approved by the church.

oops - forgot to mention the location! They are having the ceremony at the catering hall, so not many restrictions either :) Thanks!

I'm having a pianist and flutist (is that a word) for the ceremony.... since guitar and piano music translate so well in either direction, I'm toying with the idea of having them play Lover Lay Down by DMB.
