acoustic guitar suggestions!

So as some of you know I am taking guitar lessons - for a few months now. I am at the point where I can pick songs to learn - and of course, I am drawing a blank! I am basically looking to learn a good handful of things people can recognize, sing along to, etc. (I am not really looking to be the next Eric Clapton!) So far I have learned these:

Patience (G&R)
Wanted Dead or Alive (Bon Jovi)
Lola (Kinks)
Running to Stand Still and All I want is You (U2)
Secret , Don't Tell Me, I Deserve it (Madonna)
Whirlpool (Seal)

It's a nice bunch but now it's time to learn MORE! Keep in mind - it's acoustic guitar, so as MUCH as I want to play Panama by Van Halen...it's just not gonna sound right!

Suggestions?

How much are you looking to spend?

what do you mean spend? I take a lesson once a week and all I have to do is bring songs to me teacher and he listens to them and teaches them to me! I just need to come up w. ideas!
