I was at a wedding where, instead of clicking your glasses for the couple to kiss, the entire table had to sing a few lines from a song with the word 'love'. I didn't know anybody at my table and that really broke the ice. Everyone was laughing and enjoying it all. It happened between courses, before the DJ really started paying.

how about a fun centerpiece giveaway. we are gonna mark on of the bottom of a chair at each table whoever is sitting there takes home the centerpice it avoids any arguments as to who was takin it home
At one wedding I went to the DJ asked one guy at each table to pull out a dollar and they passed the dollar around until the music stopped-and who ever holding the dollar when it stopped got to take the CPs home

We are doing something similar to that the only thing is whoever gets the dollar keeps the centerpiece and then they have to pass the dollar to the right and the person on the right gets to keep the dollar
My FMIL saw this done at a wedding and really wants me to do it: The CPs were broken up and wrapped in tissue paper so each guest got a piece of it to go home with. I don't know if I'm going to do it yet though. I don't know who I would have take them apart and wrap them up.

oh, my DJ also told us about something he does, which we may or may not do a version of it using the CPs. He plays deal or no deal. He tapes an envelope containing a scratch off lottery ticket under one chair at each table. Everyone goes around the table and when the music stops whoever has the envelope brings their chair tot he dance floor. Then they play almost like musical chairs except the person without a chair gets to choose their envelope or a gift bag. The gift bags contain silly things, but they don't know that. The crowd gets all involved and what not. At the end everyone gets to open what they choose,e ither the envelope or the gift bag. The final winner gets a gift bag with a bottle of champagne.
