ADA Photographers

Has anyone used ADA for their pictures? Are they willing to negotiate on thier price, and where you happy with them?

Re: ADA Photographers

I am not using them.....Their pictures are not bad...but I was in a BP with them and I was not crazy about the photographers attitude....The guy refused to finish taking table pictures because he didnt want to wait for people and he was very bossy....he was trying to boss me around when the DJ was trying to get the bp together for the introduction.....I think their prices are reasonable but I rather pay for quality svc. If you are looking for something not too expensive I would try Daniel Krieger...they take nice pictures and I have not heard any complaints w/their svc.

Re: ADA Photographers

I am not going to try to warn you off from them, but I have to tell you about this. On 2 seperate occaisons, I have been at a wedding where the bride had been crying, because the photographer got lost on the way to the photo shoot after the ceremony, and there was no way to get in contact with the bride and groom. They ended up going to the reception site, and then having the pictures taken there (which didn't please the bride at all).

At the second wedding, the pictures where taken outside at the reception, and the photographer wanted the bride and groom to lay on the grass and weird positions to take pictures. The brides mother was NOT happy.

Well I would hope the bride would have said 'we don't want to lay on the grass, etc' if they didn't want to.. you hear good and bad things about eveyone..go to a brial show at East Wind and meet them they gave us a great deal and they did negotiate within the package...

I am using them and I agree - You hear good and bad about everyone. I have a couple of friends who have used them and their pictures came out great. And for the laying in the grass thing - I have seen many brides do this and it comes out beautifully. I'm sure it was just a suggestion for an interesting picture - not a mandatory shot. JMO

Also, all of the brides on here should know to give detailed directions to all of our vendors, contact numbers of a couple bridal party members and told to arrive early (if you want them there at 3pm - tell them 2:30, etc...)

Like I said, I wasn't trying to warn anyone off, because I met with them myself...I was just relaying things I had seen.

Sorry if I offended anyone!

Re: ADA Photographers

I also have a family member who used them and they were not entirely happy with ADA. They are upset that they have no good family group shots, since for some reason the photographers waited until during dinner to take the shots (it was already dark out, they had time before to take them and there were only a couple of shots to choose from). They also posed us in front of the catering hall sign, rather than using the daylight to have the beautiful gardens in the background. I think the attitudes of the photographer were not that great either. She did complain to them about it.

We are using them - there are 2 photographers named Tony there - Tony, the owner, and the other Tony, I think his last name is Messina.

If anyone has comments about Tony Messina (not the owner) could htey please FM me?
All our dealing have been with this photographer, and we really like him (obviously, since we booked him) but if we need to lay some ground rules I would like ot know in advance

thanks

Re: ADA Photographers

I met with Tony, not the owner, and I really liked him, and he would be the one I would want to do the pictures. I really like the album he showed us of his work.

Re: ADA Photographers

Which office is Tony (not the owner) at... we picked Big John because he seemed like a fun, down to earth guy when I met him briefly at East Wind show...but if I have to change the actual guy who does it I will...
