Add your own

What wedding related item did you not think was important prior to planning your own wedding

For me, it's the invitations. I never thought invitations were that important since it just tells the guests when & where. I always felt like the wedding industry propaganda had everyone believing that the invitations 'set the tone of the event.' I thought that was complete b.s.

Now that I have seen about 5,000 invitations and received several invitations for weddings this summer, I know the invitations really do set the tone of the event.

Feel free to add your own

Flowers!!!

If you go WAY back to my posts when I was first planning I could care less about flowers and wanted to spend very very little on them.
I wound up being OBSESSED with my flowers esp. my centerpieces and spending more on my flowers then my photo and video combined

Invitations were by far my biggest headache as well...so much so that I ended up 'making' my own... Prior to my wedding though, I could have cared less. Favors were also a big deal...
