I went to a wedding last night. When I stopped by my mom's house to pick Gizmo up I decided to stay over because the roads were so bad, even with the 4 wheel drive. My brother was out playing poker. I am like a second mother to him and am worrying about him constantly. He came home about 1:30 shaking... he woke us up and said he hit a pole. He saw brake lights on a car in front of him on Vets highway and when he pushed his brakes his car slid off the road heading straight for a pole. He hit the pole sideways right on the drivers door. His phone was dead and no one stopped to help him. Since his car was still running he DROVE HOME and his car was leaking gas. That was so stupid.
Anyway, he is OK, a lot of cuts from glass shattering on his face and arms, and his ankle was twisted. But if you saw his car..OMG!!! I took some pictures of it and will post them later when I get home. My mom was a wreck last night. I am so glad I decided to stay here.

OMG Julie I am so sorry to hear about your brother!! But glad he is OK

Anthony and I were realy so worried about you driving home by yourself - we left about 1/2 hour after you did and the roads were truly HORRIBLE (it took us some time to get home) and I knew you were driving alone. Anthony and I felt SO bad

Glad to hear you crashed at your Mom's house, better to do that than risk driving back to your house yourself

Oh my gosh..I am so glad that he is ok!!!!! Thank God he is ok!!!! That must have been so scary! I will say some prayers that he recovers quickly..he may be shaken up for ahwile..but thank God he is ok!!!!

You are all so sweet.
Here are some of the pictures I took.
Passenger side.. looks OK

Driver's Side... notice all of the damage is right where he was sitting. You can't really tell from these pics but the truck is bent in half, like it wrapped around the pole. The door was pushed in about 2 feet. the driver's seat was puched into the passenger seat, and the center console was crushed and flew out.
