ADDED PICS.My brother was in a bad car accident last night... but he is OK.

I went to a wedding last night. When I stopped by my mom's house to pick Gizmo up I decided to stay over because the roads were so bad, even with the 4 wheel drive. My brother was out playing poker. I am like a second mother to him and am worrying about him constantly. He came home about 1:30 shaking... he woke us up and said he hit a pole. He saw brake lights on a car in front of him on Vets highway and when he pushed his brakes his car slid off the road heading straight for a pole. He hit the pole sideways right on the drivers door. His phone was dead and no one stopped to help him. Since his car was still running he DROVE HOME and his car was leaking gas. That was so stupid.
Anyway, he is OK, a lot of cuts from glass shattering on his face and arms, and his ankle was twisted. But if you saw his car..OMG!!! I took some pictures of it and will post them later when I get home. My mom was a wreck last night. I am so glad I decided to stay here.

OH MY GOD!! I can't believe he drove home!!

I'm so glad he's okay and that he wasn't seriously hurt. How scary!!

OMG I can't believe he was sitting there!!! What fate for you to have been at your mom's house to be there for him when he got home!

Thank goodness he is okay. It was rough out last night and this morning. Lots of accidents.

Yeah, isn't he an idiot for driving home. He said he had his arm out the window because it wouldn't fit in the car. He took his shoes off and I dumped them in the garbage... they were full of glass! So was his shirt. The I got to pick glass out of his hand with a tweezer
I feel so bad for him. He has had such a hard life I am going to have to help him buy another car now, because I don't want him to stop going to school. Then he called his girlfriend to tell her what happened (she is only 16 ) and all she could say is 'How are you going to pick me up and take me out now?' I feel so bad for him.

Wow Julie , that damage is awful! I am shocked when I look at those pictures that your brother actually made it out relatively ok! (thank GOD)

You are a sweet sister .. I know how scary it was out last night and really that just freaks me out to see how bad his accident was, and even scarier to think of what could have been!

i hope that he's on the mend soon. a car could be replaced but a life can't.

Wow, Julz! That looks awful. The roads were terrible last night. We had to drive from my dad's in Levittown to our place in Ridge and there were accidents on the LIE it seemed practically every mile. I was getting so nervous I had to close my eyes for some of the ride.
That must have been so scary for your brother - and you. I'm so glad he's alright!!!

Wow, he was really lucky. It's amazing that he was okay and able to drive that car home.

Wow, Julz. The pics of that car are frightening!
He is so lucky to be unharmed, the damage is right by his seat!
How does he feel today? Sore? He should definetly get checked out!!!
