I need help deciding if I should add an extra hour. We are having a Fri wedding from 7-12 is 7-1:00 too late for Friday? Then I'm worried that I will have to pay extra for videographer, photographer, DJ etc. It's $6.00 extra per person but we also just added the chocolate fountain....I don't know I can't decide HELP!!

I think for the extra money that its going to cost, I don't think its worth it...I think the chocolate fountain is awesome!!!!

We are not doing a chocolate funtain but did add an extra hour. My fi wanted the party to end at 1am and I wanted it to start at 7 pm...LOL.

We added the hour. We're only doing this once so I wanted it to last as long as possible.! What we did thou is add 1/2 hour to the ct hour and 1/2 hr to the reception. I thought this was a good idea as it gives people some extra time to get there on a Friday.

We did it. We added a 1/2 hour to CH and a 1/2 hour to the reception. We are getting married on Friday night as well and I thought it would give our guests extra time that may be running late from work. I wanted to attend my CH and when we added the extra 1/2 hour it makes it possibile. We will probably spend a 1/2 hour taking pics and this way we will still have another hour to greet everyone and eat. My brother did the same thing and I thought it was great b/c the night flew by. Just about every one stayed till the very end. Also my photographer and videographer did not have an extra charge.

i added on a half an hourl when we purchased the viennese and i was married on a friday we ended at 12:30 and we had pretty much a full house up till about 12

Extending your hall to one hour also depends on whether your guests have to travel very far away after your party. I wanted to extend my party as well from 7 to 1, but some of my guests are driving home to Jersey that night. So what we did was we included the viennese table (w/ chocolate fountain and cookies, etc) right after the cake cutting, at 11:00 pm.

If you added the choc. fountain I would definitely add an hour. My wedding was on a Friday until midnight and we had a fondue station and there was not enough time for people to eat it and believe me the party was still going strong at midnight. If I could go back and change something that would be it. To me it would have been worth every penny.

I don't think it is necessary. We had a Friday night wedding and by 12am we were exhausted!!!!!!! &-12 is plenty of time. IMO

we did it beacause we really wanted the Vienese table. To be honest, I am not sure its worth it. We are not paying extra for the photographer or videographer, but we had to pay extra for the band. Around $250 extra, and it will be just the keyboard player. So, it'll be a 'closedown' time anyway. Other than the dessert for people, which is great, but the extra hour (I am not sure is so great)
