Adding Spunk to Jericho Terrace

Hey y'all hope everyone had a nice weekend.

I wanted to know if I was to add professional lighting to Jericho Terrace's Dome Ballroom.. would it be too much?? While Jericho is a beautiful all by it's self... I wanted to add color and pizzazz to the place... I was thinking of uplighting against the walls and lighting up the Dome of the ceiling???

Opinons please!

Nope! I got this awesome quote from this lighting company. in LI (of course). and I'm about to do it and sign the contract.... against FH wishes .... I keep teling him it's not his wedding... it mine! but he's not buying into it.

FH thinks it's great & diferrent... but we have some many other things to pay for... but if's it's anything that I have to have is this...and like the diva that I am (a nice one that is) I'm going to get this!

I was at a wedding once that had back lighting against all of the walls and I thought it was amazing. I think that it would look really nice at Jericho Terrace. And if its not THAT much money....why not??

Christina would you mind sharing the information with me? I would be very interested in getting this addition because my reception place is very nice BUT is lacking so 'pizazz' hehe THANK YOU!

uplighting against the walls throughout the entire ballroom and pin spotting on the CP's and oh and the DOME ceiling.... I may add the intelligent lighting for the dance floor

IMHO, JT is gorgeous already so i would spend the $1600 on something else or just save it. as a past bride, i can honestly say that after everything was said and done i looked back and said to myself 'geez, i wish i had just saved the money on this or on that'. i hate to be one of the few brides on this board that actually regret spending so much time and money on 1 day and wish i had saved more of that money to buy a house. dont get me wrong, i loved my day to no end...but right now DH and i want to buy a house and looking back i definitely would've been a bit more thrifty.

i would give you this advice...
being down to the last 2 weeks there are so many things i bought a year ago or signed a contract for, that i wish i could take back now..because we're BROKE!!
1600 really doesnt seem like alot now, but when youre saving nickels and dimes by the end, it will be lol...
we wish we had an extra 1600 right now~~
id just wait alil while..the offer from the lighting co isnt going anywhere...tell him you need to think about it..and wait and see how much of your wedding is paid and how much may be difficult at the end...
