Addresses: Are you doing labels or handwriting them???

Addresses: Are you doing labels or handwriting them???

I've heard invitations are the most unpleasant part of wedding planning bc so many brides have nightmare stories with their printers!

Are you printing directly onto the printer? Handwriting? Labels?

My mom's best friend does calligraphy so she is going to do them for me. That isgoing to be her wedding gift to us.

We printed directly on the envelopes. Pics in album - DIY invites. Very time consuming and make sure you have extras, but worth it in the end!

I've mastered the art of mail merging so if you want I can help you out.

I also have a very pretty handwriting font which works great on envelopes!

Forget handwriting, it's such a pain! Print instead!

They have addressing programs out there now for under $50, some places where you get your invites now offer the services to address them.

I would either get a calligrapher or print them. Always get extra invites and envelopes though. I had a bride order invites and just got the exact amount and her mother in law spilled water on a handfull and she had to order a new batch of 50 which cost her just as much as her 150.

I printed on the envelopes too...it was a little painful at first but once I got the hang of it it wasn't too bad and they ended up looking really good (much better than labels or me writing them myself)...I wasted a few envelopes in the process but we had plenty of extras...I also used mail merge and downloaded a really pretty script font (edwardian script I think) from dafont.com....

I ordered mine from Checkerboard and they have an addressing service. My invites came addressed already and had my return address as well. All we had to do was stuff them.

I want to see how much the handwritten caligraphy is otherwise i will have it done by the printer - i have no patience for stuff like that.

Our invitation company printed them for us. We did a few ourselves though of people who somehow got left off of the original list, and we printed directly on the envelope. It was pretty easy.
