Addressing Envelopes

Please help!!

WHen you address envelopes to those that are bringing guests, do you address the outer envelope Mr. X and guest or do you address it to Mr. X and then put Mr. X and guest on the inner envelope???

If you have an outter and inner envelope, the The 2nd one - you would put 'Mr. X' on the outter envelope, and then 'Mr. X and Guest' on the inner envelope.

I didn't have an inner envelope for my invites, so in that case I put it all on the outter......

We put Mr. xxx on the outer
and Mr. xxx and guest on the inside
