addressing invitations??

I know you have to write out Street, and Lane, but do you write out the state name??

Also if you are inviting a couple but they do not like in the same house, you put just the person that lives there on the outside and then both of them inside???

Re: addressing invitations??

I did not write out the state

For couples that don't live in the same house you can put both their names on the outside (I did this in one instance for my DH's cousin girlfriend who he is with for 8 yrs) or you can write one name outside and both inside

I thought on the inner envelope that I could just put their first names?? I never got boyfriends last names becasue i didn't think I needed them.

This stinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I only put first names on the inner envelope except for aunts and uncles. A lot of our guests actually liked that and said they felt it was more personal.

I did write out the state names(the return address & the respond card address had been preprinted & they were written out on there & I wanted it to be the same). For couples who didn't live together(but are in a serious relationship) on outside I put the person who lived there & on the inside both names. I also did put last naems on the inner envelope(but no Mr., Ms., or Mrs.). I think these things are personal choices, just figure out how you want to do it & stick with it!
