Addressing Invites?

Addressing Invites?

For our eparty we did clear labels on the invites and also did the same for our STD's.

Would that be ok for our invites? I'm not sure what else to do.

TIA

I think it looks a lot nicer to just print directly on the envelope.

Do some searches on here about labels and invites -- there are lots of opinions. Actually, someone asked this same question yesterday.

Etiquette (for what it's worth) says calligraphy, handwriting, and printing directly onto the envelope are acceptable, while labels are not.

I agree with Kara - printing directly, IMO, looks nicer than labels

No need to apologize. I just pointed that out because I thought you might be able to find it and get some other opinions. Clearly, no one can keep track of all the posts here!

Why not get a nice pen and handwrite them, then?

Get someone computer saavy to help you set up a mail merge - it's not too hard.

Also, you can have some invitation vendors do your envelopes as well. I think Invitations and Beyond in Oceanside does that, but I am not sure what they charge.

Great suggestions! I really appreciate the help!

This was one thing that I was stressing about!

I was stressing about this too, but I figured out how to do a Mail Merge; it's not too bad. What I did was cut a few peices of paper that's the same size as your envelope and use them to do a few practice runs. It was so helpful and saved me from messing up a lot of envelopes. Then I did the same thing when it was time to address my TYs!!

I'm all about the practice! that's a great idea! As long as I know it can be done thanks!

one vote for calligraphy, becuase it's much less stressful than trying to wedge envelopes into a warm printer!!!!
Labels are apparently a no-no for invitations, although I think that rule was made up by calligraphers!
