Re: addressing own invites....
I bought clear address labels at Staples and then just printed them in a nice font - I used Edwardian Script.
It was great because if I screwed up a label I just printed a new one - You just had to make sure to proof read it before sticking it on the envelope.
VERY IMPORTANT: make sure that you deliver your invites to the post office and have them hand cancelled. Not only does it look nicer, but it will prevent the labels from getting stuck in the Post Office machine.
Good Luck - HTH

I did them in word as a mail merge and printed on the envelopes. It was a bit of a pain though because the printer would mess up if I put a bunch of envelopes in so I had to feed them in one at a time. They came out really nice, but it did require some patience.

Re: addressing own invites....
We fed ours right into the computer, I would just do a test one to make sure they don't get stuck or anything...ours were getting stuck on one of the folds of the envelope, so we literally had to put little piece of tape on that one side, put it throught the printer, then peel the piece of tape off....but other than that, it wasn't bad.

I printed the envelopes myself. No labels. Just printed directly on the envelope.
It turned out great.

Agreed..also it helps to cut some regular paper to the size of the envelopes and test using those so that you can be sure you have everything lined up correctly
