Addressing Place Cards

Hi All:

Does anyone know how to properly address seating cards ?

I think if the couple is married

Mr. and Mrs. John Smith

If there is a child

Mr. Joseph Smith


Then for single COUPLES:

Mr. Smith and Miss Joseph
(with your guest name first)

Is that correct ?

Also, what if the couple is married and the wife retained her maiden name ? What do you do ?

And do you address the single ladies as Miss or Ms. ?

I've seen lots of people actually make a separate placecard for EVERYONE but of course if you are having a huge guest list, that could get a little crazy.

You'd want to address them the way you did your invites, though, for couples with two last names going on - put each name on a separate line. It's just tricky with placecards b/c they're so small...

And any ladies not married are Ms.
