Addressing Save the Dates*with poll*

Addressing Save the Dates*with poll*

We are sending out magnets.
A few of our guests still live at home with their parents. For example...my aunt and uncle still have 7 of their kids living at home, all over the age of 18. They are all invited but they only have one fridge.

We were planning on only sending one STD per household but we're not sure how to address the envelopes since all our guests are over 18.

What do you think we should do?

If we send EVERYONE their own individual magnet we'll have to order more. We would need 25 extra but we only have 16 'extra'. They are only sold in groups of 25

that's what i wanted to do but people keep saying it's rude to do that to people over 18

definitely the family option, putting all the names is a PITA because the envelope gets too crowded and sending everyone their own is redundant

for invitations its different, for STD's its ok, or if you really want you can do an inner envelope like invitations and then list all the family members on the inner envelope

Totally not rude..a family member sent three to my house and both my sister and I are over 18 and engaged...we would rather her have kept the money for something more important

I put everyone's name on the envelope but that could get annoying if there are 7 of them. For us it was only 3-4 per house

I agree I don't think it's rude for your own family. That could get really expensive otherwise.

I did mine a lil differently. My parents list was given to me in the format of 'Joe and Jane Smith.' FH's moms list was given to me in the format of 'Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith. And In cases where the entire family was invited I addressed it to 'The Smith family. And finally incases where a date was invited i addressed it to 'Joe Smith and Jane Doe' I don't think it matters is everyone is formatted the same. You need to adjust them for whats appropriate to the situation.

if it's just one per family i would do something like Smith Family on the envelopes, that way no one is divided

For mine I put:
Mr. Richard Soandso and Family

I agree with Denise 100%. I don't think people will want 5 of the same magnets on one fridge

LoL

Thanks for all your input. I told my FH and my mother that you all said i could put the family name instead of everyone getting one. They finally caved.

I addressed the save the dates to 'Lastname Clan' instead of family b/c i thought it would be funny. our STD's arent formal so i figured it was all good.

thanks again!
