Re: ADDRESSING THE INVITATIONS
I suppose it depends on your cashflow. I printed them myself but if I had the extra cash to give someone else the hassle I probably would have.

Ditto. It really wasn't that bad doing them myself on the computer-so if your going to have them printed, I would just save the money and do it yourself. But if you have the money for calligraphy then save yourself time and have them done!

I printed the address on adhesive address labels. I can't be bothered w/ hiring someone to address envelopes that are going to be thrown away. JMO

I had someone do the calligraphy for me but you could print them yourself in a nice font and that would be fine too!

Re: ADDRESSING THE INVITATIONS
I printed my std labels on regular adhesive labels and I'll probably do the same thing for the wedding invites or possibly outsource, depending on the price.

I did it myself and it was relatively painless...just make sure you have extra envelopes...

Same here!
I got a good price and I just wanted something beautiful and elegant for my wedding invites. I did my e-party, STD and everything else on either the computer or just by hand (on my own) but for my wedding invites I wanted it to be taken up a notch.
I was able to find a great price also so that made it worth it for me. I had a friend have computer done and she was charged more than I am paying for calligraphy!
I recommend Michele Clark (she is who I am using) and then (if she is booked) Wendy Trout. Michele charges just $1.25 for both the outer and inner envelopes (the whole set). I believe it is just $1.00 if you are not doing inners.

Re: ADDRESSING THE INVITATIONS
I printed the names and address on a clear label using a fancy font and I am going to write the inner envelopes myself.

Re: ADDRESSING THE INVITATIONS
I printed each address on the envelope...just fed them through the printer. It was pretty quick after you line everything up !

Re: ADDRESSING THE INVITATIONS
i did it myself and it was really easy, only took me a day! i ususally suck at those things but FH showed me how to do it and they came out great! I'm in between jobs though, so I'm unemployed till Monday.... so if I had a job it def woulda taken a few days, but it really wasn't a problem at all and I felt like I had control of when they were finished, which was nice

Re: ADDRESSING THE INVITATIONS
We printed the envelops ourselves on our computer through Word. We put the envelopes through the printer. Well, FH did, I should say

I completely agree. That is what we did. We bought clear labels to print the address on.

Re: ADDRESSING THE INVITATIONS
I did them myself. While I had very few problems doing it (no jamming or smudging), it was quite time consuming. Note: I had to do both inner and outer envelopes and due to their size I had to fee them in one by one.
