how about 'pretty' hand-writing.
'proper etiquette' states that you should have them hand-written, showing that you took the time to do them.
there have been a lot of brides who have printed them from their computer with pretty caligraphy/hand-written fonts.
other brides have done CLEAR lables.
my $.02: i had my moh hand-write them for me. she has beautiful hand-writing. there was one that was forgotten at the last minute, and i hand-wrote that one myself.

Re: Addressing those invites
depending on what company you are using they have a service of printing the address on the label for you for a nominal fee. You can pick out your font and fill out the addresses on line.

Handwriting and printing them on the computer are other options.
I've been back and forth between calligraphy, handwriting, and printing them on the computer. Etiquette says NOT to use labels, and personally, I'd avoid using them at all costs on wedding invites. It looks much nicer if you print them on the computer, which really doesn't take that much longer than the labels.

Re: Addressing those invites
i received two wedding invites this year (i mean in 2006) that were printed on clear labels - yeechh!!! the other was printed right on the envelope and really looked so much better. i also printed mine right on the envelope.
i'd say either hand write them or print them directly on the envelope.
