Re: Adobe Photoshop...
Are you on a pc or mac? Go to Image (on the top...the menus), Mode, Grayscale. You can make colour photos b&w there! Let me know if you have questions!

Re: Adobe Photoshop...
After you turn them black and white, you can turn them back to RGB and ADD color if you want to! like the b&w photos of the kids with just part colored in... its neat...

Re: Adobe Photoshop...
MIMS - HOW DO YOU DO THAT??? I can turn it grayscale and I cant get the RGB back on... HELP!!!! What you said is exactly what I want to do!!
2. change it back to RGB (for digital printing) or CMYK (for ink printing) mode. The photo will still look black and white.
3. Create new layers and paint on top of the grayscale image in color with the airbrush tool, adjusting the opacity of the color and the layer as needed to look like you are coloring the photo.
4. Save the image in photoshop format (.psd), use that as your working file.
5. Save a copy of the image as a JPEG to send to others, or to post on the web
That’s one way, its a quick easy way. Good luck!!

Re: Adobe Photoshop...
Photoshop is awesome and really powerful for picture editing once you get the hang of it. I'd buy a book if I was you. I'm not sure which one we have but it tells you how to do EVERYTHING. And there are some things that you would never know unless you had a book to guide you through it because there really is so much that you can do with that program and about 10 ways to do the same thing. For example, I use 'desaturate' to turn my pictures black and white.
