Adressing Invites - Need Quick Responses please!

When we have full families invited - should I just put:
The Smith Family
or

Mr. and Mrs. John Smith
Mr. Michael Smith
Miss Lisa Smith

also -
I know a little girl I put Miss
but what age, for a boy, do I put, Master?

Thanks!!

I thought for families the outer was simply addressed as Mr & Mrs Joseph Blow with all names on the inner.

I could be wrong ...

I agree. Just the parents on the outer envelope, the whole family can be listed on the inner.

I addressed mine like this..

Mr. and Mrs. John Doe and Family

Then on the inside I put....

John, Jane, **** and Jane
Children in order of age.

I would use Mr. even for a young person.

According to Bridesmate.com (www.bridesmate.com), here is invitation addressing etiquette - formal guidelines:

Outer Envelopes:

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jackson

Do not write 'and Family' on the invitation if children are to be included.

Write their first names on the inner envelope beneath their parents' names.

Example:

Outer Envelope

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jackson

Inside Envelope

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jackson
John, Susie, and Tom

Children over the age of 16 should receive their own invitation.

I hope this helps!

I don't have inner envelopes either and did

The Smith Family

it was alot shorter than doing

Mr. and Mrs. John Smith and Family

Yes master is for little boys,( probably pre-teen) but I wouldn't put titles- you could, but its very formal.
If you have no inner envelopes, just list
Mr & Mrs John Smithj
Joseph Smith
Anne Smith

don't stress too much, no one is going to think you are a disgrace if it nto the 'proper' way sicne no one seems to agree what that is anyway.
