Adrienne's in Islip

I've been to two places so far with NO LUCK.

Thanks for your help girls.

The girl that helped me was very sweet there. I believe her name was Sophia.

I did not buy my gown there (although they had it) because I found it for considerably less somewhere else!

I went there; I loved it for me but they were awful with bridesmaids....my review is somewhere on the review board!!!

I have had a great experince so far- I wasn't into price comparisons- I just wanted good serivce that I could trust

Sophia is great- she is helping with my bridemaid dresses- she sent 2 to the NYC store for my girls who live there and 1 down to florida

she has been nothing but helpful

my dress came in perfect and early

Sophia is the ONLY one who know what's going on over there; wise to stick with her!

Also, keep your receipts. The night of my RD, they had the nerve to call and say we hadn't paid for the veil. My mother had to fax her receipt over the night before the wedding b/c of their sloppy accounting. My mom really let them have it, too.......they demanded she pay the $300 or whatever it was that night. Poor mom thought she was losing her mind.

I went there and met with Kathleen. She was a doll to work with. Picked out dresses I loved and was very patient with me and my group of girls there to watch.

We checked them out for BM dresses; found them elsewhere much much cheaper....the service they provided us was a bit lacking too. I think my grandmother actually got her dress there.

I'm using them - so far ok, knock on wood, I have one more fitting. When I first went there, Linda helped me, she was awesome. The bm dresses went ok, two of my three girls had their alterations somewhere else b/c one of them has a friend who does them. My other bm so far has had no problems with Adriennes. I don't think there is a place that does not have issues. You just have to hope for the best & keep on top of them. I will give a final rating once my big day passes next week!!

Bridesmaid dresses - I went several times and it was packed and I received no help at all. None...

Up front for my dress, one woman knew what she was talking about - I think Sophia was her name (blonde woman) but shewas rushing me (and I had an appointment) and was pushy to buy, like a car salesman. I would have bought if I found the one I loved, but I didnt find it.

I also think they didnt let me take pics.

I have heard great reviews from others though so you might as well take a look.

Both my mom and I had got our dresses there. The service was great and both our alterations were great! I would definitely recommend them!

i worked with the owner, cant remember her name but i do remember her being helpful and sweet...she didnt push me into any one dress...or any dress at all for that matter...and we were there a while! she was great, so far so good! i am pleased with their service and my gown is gorgeous- if i dont say so myself i wasnt into shopping around for a cheaper price, but it may be likely you could find it...

Re: Adrienne's in Islip

Thanks for all your input girls.

I went there today, worked with a woman named Kathleen who was wonderful, I told her what I thought I wanted and she brought out a few dresses, the second one I tried was it! Just what I wanted. We put down the deposit. I'd love to post a picture, but I didn't bring my camera, and I just can't find a picture of the dress - it's a 2be Bride dress but it isn't on their website. I may post separately to see if anyone else bought a 2be dress from Adriennes to see if it' mine. I want to email it to my mother!

Thanks again.
