Re: Adriennes in West Islip Info please.
i purchased my dress there and it is supposed to come in 2/1 so i don't know yet. I worked with sofia who i absolutely adore. my two bridesmaids purchased their dresses from there as well. so far, it has been a fine experience. i heard it can be horrendous, but i have loved working with them. I sent Sofia a thank you note because she made me feel so comfortable and she sent me one back within a day. i am not one of the ones that fit into the samples so it is a nerveracking experience. she made me feel like a million bucks. also, they have all price ranges.
ps: i heard alterations there can be scary , so I am bringing the dress to a personal recommendation.

My daughter got married in Nov. and we got her gown at Adriennes. After we ordered it, I found this website and began reading some negative reviews about them. We were REALLY nervous but they were great. No problems. Very accomodating. We had the alterations done there and they were fine. Good luck!

I got my dress there...after going to 2 other stores and trying on numerous dresses! (Three people referred me to Adrienne's and 2 MOB referred me). I found that they had very pretty dresses and a better selection of 'different' styles that other places. Sophia helped me and was very sweet.
Also I met a girl who worked there for 4 years who told me horror stories...ie they sell you floor samples and alter them. (PS - you wont know its a floor sample). Also she said ask for Clio for your alterations because she is the best!

They are a NIGHTMARE...
I ordered my gown 6.5 months prior to my wedding and was told I would receive a delivery date with a week. 2 weeks later, I called them to check the status and was told THEY NEVER ORDERED IT AND NOW I MAY BE CHARGED A RUSH FEE, even though it was their mistake!!! After resolving that issue, I made an appointment to try on headpieces and to look at mother of the bride and bridesmaid gowns. Upon arriving to this appointment, WE WERE KEPT WAITING OVER AN HOUR- even though we had an appointment! We left and went elsewhere! I next contacted them a week after the date my gown was due to arrive and was told that it had been in for a couple of weeks (yet they never contacted me)! I made an appointment to see my gown and when I got there, THEY COULD NOT FIND IT ANYWHERE AND MISPLACED MY GOWN-it took them over 45 minutes to locate it!!! While I was waiting, I watched their unprofessional seamstresses butcher so many dresses- the alterations and bustles were so poorly done and people were complaining! I paid the balance on my gown immediately upon them finding it and took it elsewhere for alterations!
They were the worst vendor I dealt with throughout my wedding planning and a constant source of stress and horror - BY FAR THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION EVER!

Re: Adriennes in West Islip Info please.
i had to order my flowergirls dresses through them since they were the only shop that carried the line....imo they were VERY snooty. Maybe because we weren't getting everything else from them, but whatever. They weren't very nice. My mom was going to try on some dresses and possibly order for herself, but because of their attitude she opted out and ordered somewhere else. I also thought the dresses were overdue, & when i called they had said they'd been in for quite some time...um hello? nobody ever contacted me OR the FG's parents??? then again, they were snooty with alterations(c'mon now..is there a need to be snooty with 5year olds who are EXTREMELY well behaved???). In the end the dresses were beautiful, i just wasnt a fan of dealing with them. I have heard mixed reviews though...some girls have had great experiences there - so there's no harm in going & checking it out. Also, I dont know where u're located, but fantasia bridal in rocky point is fabulous. they have a huge selection of gowns & the seamstresses are sweethearts and pretty much renound on the island. We got all of our other attire through them & i've been in multiple weddings using them too. they're great! best of luck!

My mom and grandma both purchased their gowns from Adrienne's in Islip and we didn't have any major problems with them. I would definitely lie about your wedding date though- we all said it was 3 weeks before just to make sure we had everything!

I did not go there for my gown but I did go with FMIL. They were nice enough but when I went back with my mom 2 days later the woman was SOOO rude to me!! I mean, my FMIL didn't order from you yet and you're going to be Rude to me?? No thanks, I'll go elsewhere!!

Re: Adriennes in West Islip Info please.
I had no problems with them. i actually really liked them all including the owner Maryann. My gown came in early with no problems.
My only issue was with the seamstress chloe(she was a doll). She altered my dress fine but at the final fitting it was alittle loose on the top still. So i waited 15 minutes while she went and made an extra seem on the inside to pull it in a bit. The day of the wedding it was slipping a bit, not falling off or anything, but it was my wedding day so i really didnt care since i was on cloud nine..
Im not much of a complainer unless its really bad, so maybe some one else would have made a bigger issue of it, its just not me, people make mistakes.
Overall i would say check them out. You will have mixed reviews on all Bridal boutiques.
good luck and happy dress hunting...

I would say check it out but they are pricey !
they did help me look at gowns but things were just over priced - so just check it out see what you like and shop around.
