Hello Ladies! I know its early but im at work and have something on my mind. We are having 2 FG and 1 RB in wedding. After they were introduced into the reception, they were gonna leave and we were gonna hire a babysitter. Well, FH sister doesnt want a stranger watching her kids. His whole family is from out of state. I completely understand but we were gonna have no kids at reception. We were gonna hire someone we trusted......What would you ladies do?

Re: Adult only receptions
That is tough.
How old are the kids? Would one person be watching all the kids? Are all the kids her kids?

Re: Adult only receptions
No....they are not all her kids. And it would only be 4 kids. The 2FG, 1RB and FH's son who is the 2nd Best Man. 1 FG and the RB are her kids and the other FG is FH's other sister's daughter.
I don't know what to do.

Re: Adult only receptions
Ughh this is hard. We have 1 RB and 1 FG and no other children at the wedding. I'm going to let them stay if their parents(my cousin) wants them to. If she decides that she wants to go a little crazy, one of her in laws is going to get the cuties.

dont let people tell you what to do. have her find someone she trusts then.
I wish i could practice what I preach but DONT GIVE IN. It is YOUR wedding.

Is there a place at the RH where the kids can hang out? This way they can be there, and you can hire someone to watch them, but their parents will be there and they can pop in from time to time.

What about the other sister? Does she feel the same? Is it possible for her to meet the babysitter first? Will they be near by?

Re: Adult only receptions
Im not sure how the other sister feels.......the only thing is they live in Vegas so its hard to have them meet the sitter but the sitter would be watching FH's son too and they should trust that he's not gonna get someone that he doesn't trust.... you know what i mean?

His mother does have cousins taht she was gonna ask to watch them that shes not really close to and that she wasnt gonna invite to the wedding but his sister doesnt know them so she doesnt want them watching them.

Re: Adult only receptions
See if you get the Bridal Suite the whole night bc if you do then see if your FH sister would be more comfortable with babysitter staying in the Bridal Suite where she can go in and out as she pleases to see her kids

That is so unacceptable. Especially since they're ages six and up. Tell her without it getting out of hand that you aren Gavin kids at the wedding. It may have been the wring choice of four children to have come be he flower girls considering they're out of state so just say that if she's not comfortable with it that u wouldn't be hurt if she wasn't able to bring the flower girl.
