Re: ADULTS ONLY
we 'lucked out' i guess.... there were very few kids who would even be invited. we invited my first cousins who i am very close with (7, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21 -- the 17 year old was a bridesmaid), and DH's cousins were 18, 20, 21 and everyone else was 23+. none of our friends have kids, and there were no young kids --- the 7 year old was incredibly mature and a lot of fun. i think we had some younger cousins but they were very extended and we had no issues from family about not inviting them.
if we had close young children, dont know what we would have done. it was fun having a 7 year old though --- we all danced with him and he was very polite. he told my mom 'you look as beautiful as the day you were married' (which was a good 15+ years after he was born) and told my photog 'that was an excellent shot, i love how the bridesmaids were alternating with the groomsmen' when he watched us take some pictures.

I totally have a dirty mind because i thought this post was going to be something else..lol
we're having an adult only wedding but the only children that will be there are the children of the bridal party. (junior bm, usher, and 2 FG's)
I thought the same thing!
We are only having 3 children, who are in our wedding party (2 ring bearers, 1 flower girl). I have a large extended family of cousins, so I am going to try to stick to 21 and over.

Re: ADULTS ONLY
We are very far from an adult only reception. I work with young kids and I am having about 15 kids between the ages of 3-7. Plus my 2 fgs who are 3 and 5. I love kids...and if they act out I am sure the parents will handle them. I always feel like kids bring such a sweet addition to a wedding.

Re: ADULTS ONLY
We had an adults only reception. It caused a bit of pre-wedding drama but everyone understood our reasons once they attended the wedding.

Re: ADULTS ONLY
We are having adults only. The only kids that would be close to coming are my RB and FG but they'll probably be in bed by the time the reception starts. I think its better for their parents because they can enjoy the party instead of running after their kids the whole night.

Re: ADULTS ONLY
FH wants Adults only and I understand the virtues thereof....however we are both Latinos and that would just NOT sit well with anyone. We expect 10 children of which 5 are in our bridal party.
I can't wait to take photos with my 3 flower girls!

Re: ADULTS ONLY
Our guestlist was cut off at first cousins... many of them are older, but some of them are under 12. They will be there and so will our nieces/nephews. Our wedding is the most special day in our lives and I couldn't even imagine not having my little munchkins there to share it with us...

Re: ADULTS ONLY
I am having adults only. Only the kids in the wedding party are invited. I worked in a lot of RH and the most annoying thing is having kids running back and forth on the dance floor. I hated that!!

Re: ADULTS ONLY
We are having adults only except for FH's brothers and sisters, of course. He comes from a large family and his youngest sister is the FG. She is 6. His youngest brother, who will be 9 soon, will be the RB. We will also include his (our ) two nieces. That's it!

Re: ADULTS ONLY
The youngest people at my wedding will be my two junior bridesmaids, who will be 13. They were the cutoff! No RB or FG or anything. woohoo!
