Advice...

I just found out that now there is a possibility that half of my bridal party can't make my bachelorette party. We were planning to go to Montauk Fri nite to Sun. So should I cancel those plans and do something simple (like dinner) on a Friday and Sat night??????

Is there another time when they can go? I would compromise w/the date, but not so much the actual event.

From what I understand they picked the date. I am pretty much open because I am off all summer!

I just figured if we changed the plans we can accodmade every one else.

That's silly! They picked the date but couldn't make it. Honestly, if you relaly have your heart set on the 'what' - I'd see if the girls can do another time, where they can all do that....but if it's the 'when/who' then change it. Sorry I'm of no help!

I do think since they came up with the date it is a bit odd they cant go..but since you have off all summer and could go at more of a variety of times, I would try to plan it for another weekend and not forgo plans you really wanted...

hope i helped a little

Half of my bridal party didn't make mine either.. its hard to get everyone together when they all have different schedules.

Re: Advice...

Even though they picked the date maybe after a little planning they realized how much money it is going to cost them and maybe they do not have it at the time. Being a bridesmaid is a huge expense when you think about it. They have their dresses, shoes, bridal shower, wedding gift, and bachorlette party. Maybe you could go for 1 night instead of 2 and that may help on the financial end and maybe more would go.

Yeah...I thought about that. And my mom even said that two nights might be too much for some people. We'll see.

Re: Advice...

My bachelorette party was supposed to be a weekend away- destination unknown to me. Then my sister-in-law who is planning it posted a poll with two choices. The weekend away all my friends said no to-not enough money, can't leave their kids, etc. I was a little sad about it since that was what I wanted but I would much rather have everyone there. So now its a day plan- somewhere local here in LA. But I still don't know what we are doing!

Point of my long story- decide what is more important to you = having everyone there or going to Montauk for the weekend. You make the call!
