A girlfriend of mine is getting married in Canada. Her family is from OOT and so is her MOH sister. No one is throwing her a shower.
I thought it would be nice to have some girls get together in NYC where we live to take her out to brunch.
How can I word the evite so that it doesn't imply that I'm paying for it. I just felt bad that NO one is throwing her a shower or a party.....
Thanks!!

Re: Advice for a shower. Opinions please!!!
hmmm its hard to end an invite qithout implying it is paid for. Could you call all the girls who u want to go and say you want to all plan it together- say that we should take her to brunch and celebrate?

Do you need to make a reservation?. if so then ask for an RSVP... write something like:
for reservation purposes - please let me know if you will be participating or not and I will handle the reservations at Alice's Teacup.
I would say 'participate' and not 'attend' b/c attend sounds like they are invited guests.. not hosts.. as you will all be hosts.
Yes, I have to make a reservation! I like the word 'Participate...' that's a good one!!!
Thank you!

Here is the newest revision:
Let's get together and take Mary out for brunch before her big day!
Alice's Teacup is quaint tea room on the Upper East Side that serves a delicious high tea that includes everything for $25 or you can also order great brunch from the menu as well!
If you wish to bring a token for the 'bride to be' she is registered at Bed Bath and Beyond.
Please let me know if you can participate so I can make a reservation to accomodate the party.
