I bought my dress as well....BUTTTT i have no regrets. i tried on about 15 dresses and liked NOT 1 until i found MY dress. I didn't want to buy a dress yet but i think you know when it is the one!!!!!

I would want to wait longer bc i would like to wait another season and see what comes out...I am just afraid bc some designers it can take a year to get your dress...Yes i know sometimes you can get it in weeks or just a few months but i get so nervous about this...Maybe if i can find out in general how long a particular designer takes to deliver your dress then i can decide how long to wait
I m nervous to wait so long...I have a dress in mind that I LOVE and I'm afraid it will be discontinued....it there any price advantage to waiting??? I think I have to do it fairly soon though...My wedding is in April...I was going to start looking the last week of Feb/early March...is that bad???

I can tell you that jasmine is pretty quick I got my dress in about 3 months!!!!

That is what i tried. I was going to just look for fun. And sure enough I fell in love and bought it on Saturday. So make sure you are willing to buy early even if you think you're just shopping for fun.
thanks for the advice..im waiting..cause i know new styles come out all the time and i don't want to be dissapointed if i didn't wait and something came along better! I don't plan on buying anything until the summer or later

I'm gonna wait for my dress too. I'm gonna start playing after eparty. FYI James Clifford dresses take a year to order!!!!
Hey Collweenie, we looked at the woodlands and loved it. It's beautiful. THe BM was a jerk though.
Im glad i saw this post i was getting nervous that i should have gone already... i wanted to go for fun the end of febuary when i get back from vaca cause ill be nice and tan.. but originally i wanted ot be down 15 more pounds before ill even step into a bridal store.. so i dont know.. so far there is only 1 dress that ive liked.. so i kinda wanna just try that on to atleast give myself a little direction...

I dont plan on buying mine for a long time. I change my mind so much. I think it crazzy to get a dress next years styles might be different. Who wants to wear a dress that is out of style![]()

Thanks so much, I planned to wait a little because my girlfriend told me when she got married she bought her dress too soon and then ended up not liking it anymore with all the other things that came out.
I read that you shouldn't start shopping until 9-10 months before the wedding because styles change so much so you may fall in love with something new. Also, I would absolutely tell them that your wedding is a few weeks before so you will absolutely get it on time....but I read in someones review (or somewhere on LIW) that most brides loose weight the week of their wedding and thats why a lot of dresses are too big on the brides. Their bridal salon person told them to eat a bowl of ice cream every night before bed until the day of the wedding so you don't loose those last few pounds which make a difference in you hiking up your strapless dress all night.
