advice needed ASAP

finally got appt with dentist (wisdom tooth is in, cutting into my cheek, jaw hurts) for TODAY.

if they tell me it needs to be pulled, do I do it today? or take the chance and do it after the HM?

i've NEVER had a tooth pulled so i have no idea what the recovery is like

its not impacted or anything, it's fully in - just on a 45 degree angle.

I think 15 days is enough time to recover, but usually wisdom teeth are a little more involved. Ask him if he can file it down a little bit and schedule an appt to get it filled after u return from HM

Sometimes filing down a tooth can expose too much of the nerve and leave you in more pain...
15 days should be more than enough healing time.
Ice yourself properly the first 2 or 3 days when you get the chance and you'll shave days off of your healing time.

i had 2 wisdom teeth taken out that were not impacted, they were about halfway in... and i was eating burger king the same night! lol it definitely wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. i had no pain or swelling, it was just a little sore in the area. i would say get it done asap so it will give you plenty of time to recover before your wedding and HM.

When I had mine pulled my face was swollen for a week, was black and blue and I looked like a chipmunk. You should be ok by the wedding but it may still be sore. But wisdom tooth pain is also the worst so I would do whatevr your dentist tells you is best.

You have plenty of time ... I had both of mine pulled in one day and I was fine by the end of the weekend. Good luck! Definitely do it now .. dont wait - you dont want to be in pain during the wedding or on the HM ... Its not bad ..

I would get it taken out. You don't want to risk getting an infection while your own your hm!!

i just had it done on Friday!

have it done ASAP....i'm sure you'll heal in time. keep icing it and doing the salt rinses.

Do it now!!! I've been on vacation with my wisdom tooth cutting into me and it s*cks!!!

You'll recover within a week.

Totally have it pulled today if you need to. I had my wisdom tooth pulled and I was fine in a day or two.

Hmm. I got my wisdom teeth pulled...3 at a time and I was completely fine. I was eating Christmas eve dinner the next day.

I know some people who reacted horribly though.

If it doesnt hurt you now, maybe wait just in case you react badly...but for me it was a piece of cake!

Just get it over with. I've had all 4 taken out, and as long as you follow the directions and wait to eat or drink something to avoid they dry sockets, you'll be fine. Just ice it, take anti inflammatories, and enjoy the painkillers.

I doubt he would do it today b/c usually something like that needs to be scheduled ahead of time, BUT 15 days should be enough healing time. I actually had complications when my wisdom teeth were pulled - dry socket - it was painful and annoying - BUT even that went away within 2 weeks.

i would do it now, mine didnt hurt AT ALL! even if yours hurt a little afterwards i think 15 days is more than enough time for it to heal, trust me the last thing you want on your hm is horrible tooth pain, take them out now if needed

IF they can do it today (which they probably can't because generally you need to go to an oral surgeon for it, not a dentist), I would do it. I had all four pulled on a Friday and I was good to go by Tuesday.

They told me on the phone that its possible they could do it today and not have to refer me to an oral surgeon depending on how it 'looks' - the dentist will have to assess.

I had two fully impacted wisdom teeth surgically removed about 10 years ago, and omg, i had the worst dry sockets it was BRUTAL

even if, worse case scenario, you get dry socket... it can be taken care of in 15 days for sure.

pull it. get it over with so it doesn't bother you during the most important days of your life, dude.
