Funny you post this because I'm having the same problem but going to see my dentist over the weekend. I've never had any teeth pulled either but I read and heard many horror stories. If mine need to be pulled, which they probably do, I'm waiting until after I'm back from the HM. I would not take the the chance of godforbid me not healing quickly and being in pain or not being able to eat on my wedding night. Also, my dentist, who is good too, recommends people go to an oral surgeon to have them removed. I guess 15 days is enough time though.
Do it now! I got one taken out once and had no problem afterwards. You don't want to worry about it while you're away and ruin your vacation.
If you are in pain I would do it today! It will only set you back a few days and you will be totally fine for your wedding day! Good luck!

Sometimes filing down a tooth can expose too much of the nerve and leave you in more pain...
15 days should be more than enough healing time.
Ice yourself properly the first 2 or 3 days when you get the chance and you'll shave days off of your healing time.
I would do it today. I got all four pulled at once and it only took a week to recover (it was one of the worst weeks of my life) but for one tooth, you'll be healded in no time.
