Advice needed for BP

Advice needed for BP

Hi ladies,

I'm having difficulty deciding on an aspect of my bridal party, and I would really appreciate your advice. I plan on having 7 girls in the party. 4 are in the downstate area, and 3 are upstate. I don't feel comfortable choosing one as a 'maid of honor' because I'm close to each, and don't feel comfortable unloading all the responsibility onto one person.

It makes the most sense to ask the four downstate gals to help with some of the responsibilities (e.g. bridal party/bachelorette party) because they are local, but how do I honor a group of 4 girls? And how do I do this without excluding the upstate girls?

I would really appreciate some advice! Thank you!

ehh, honestly.. even if there are '2 groups' of girls.. u shouldnt really categorize them. Make a cute lil newsletter or a website specifically for ur bridal party. include each girls phone # and/or email address that way EVERYONE can communicate with eachother. having the downstate girls in charge of everything might make the upstate girls feel like they are 'B-listers'.. try to include every1 equally.

besides, there isnt a law that states you HAVE to have a MOH. You're lucky enough to have SEVEN girls who love u.

Just my opinion..

I think the website thing is a great idea. Even if you just make a myspace or facebook page specifically for that reason. The upstate girls will obviously not be offended if you dont ask them to come down here and help with stuff. It would be impossible anyway for them to come down here to help with everything and I'm sure they realized that when they agreed to be on your side.

I hope I'm understanding this right, but I see what you're saying about honoring the ones that are here; after all they will be doing alot of the hands on stuff with you. I would just take them out one night for dinner or drinks as an informal 'thank you'. Do it on a night when they plan to be with you helping out with wedding stuff so its not like a planned out thing that is leaving the other girls out of the loop.

Thank you! I love the idea of a website for them...

Now, if I don't honor one group specifically, do you think they'll feel slighted if they are the ones planning things for me?

You're right, I do feel very lucky to have 7...I haven't asked them yet though! It's times like these I wish I had a sister to use as the default MOH!

Perfect - I love the idea of taking them out to dinner. Thank you so much - I completely vegetated and was unable to think of anything.

Thank you!
