Advice needed on addressing invitation envelopes

How are you addressing the wedding invitation envelopes? Are you typing/printing your own labels at home (like just the standard white label from Staples) or are you having them professionally done? Calligraphy? If you're using a professional can you please recommend who you're using and FM a price quote? Also, how are you doing the response card envelopes that all need your address on them? Is it acceptable to do a label on those or should those be done professionally too? THANKS!!

Re: Advice needed on addressing invitation envelopes

I was thinking of printin the envelopes at home with a nice script font. But any other ideas I would love to hear! I was thinking about labels but I didn't know if it was. Tacky???

Advice needed on addressing invitation envelopes

I'm doing clear labels. I'm going to have enough work making the invitations don't really care enough to use the extra time to print the envelopes as well.

Advice needed on addressing invitation envelopes

My return addresses will be added by the seller (directly on the envelope). I'm debating to have her add the names or just do it myself on my home printer.
I find the labels look small on the large envelope so you might want to at least print names/addresses directly on the envelope and use labels for flap and RSVP card.

I haven't used her but LIW brides raved about this woman: http://www.weddingink.net/Digital-Calligraphy

Advice needed on addressing invitation envelopes

Im planning on calligraphy. It depends on who we get to do the invites. Some printers offer it, some don't. I hope I dont have to pay more than a dollar or 1.50 each... not sure about the RVSP envelopes. Maybe print those with a script font.

Advice needed on addressing invitation envelopes

I printed my own addresses (return, address, and RSVP). Saved me a lot of money. It took an entire afternoon because I had to feed the envelopes one by one, but I had the time so I saved the $$$.

Advice needed on addressing invitation envelopes

I am going to just get the labels from Staples and use a nice font. Our response cards have our address printed on them free of charge from our vendor (Invitations by Dawn)

Advice needed on addressing invitation envelopes

I'm going to buy clear labels that are 2 x 4 inches and print them from home. We used clear labels for our StDs and they looked great. I see no need to spend extra $$ on something that (ultimately) goes right into the garbage.
