I am considering having two MOH's, but I'm not really sure if I want to have two of them.... One is older, and has been married, but is now divorced. Is it appropriate to make her a matron of honor and the other (my bestfriend) the maid of honor? Or does the matron have to be currently married??
In general, how do you guys feel about having 2 maid of honors???
TIA

Re: advice on BP
i've heard a lot of people have 2 moh's...there's nothing wrong with it as long as you are fine with it! i wouldn't call the older one a Matron if she's not married, but you could ask what she is comfortable with. just think of how much extra help you will have!

Re: advice on BP
if the divorced one is not remarried i think she is considered maid of honor.
i've seen people have 2 before, i dont think there is anything wrong with that. go for it

I'm having 2 MOH's- I really just couldnt pick between my 2 best friends- and i feel so much better that i didnt have to choose one over the other- i love them both!
and i dont get the whole matron of honor OR maid of honor- so i'm just calling them both my Maid of honor.....

I would just be clear on why you are picking both and how you are going to include them..always together or each for certain things. Enjoy the extra help!

I had two and it was fine. Ultimately, I wished I would have just had the one because she was much more helpful, but i am glad they both felt so important.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it. My sister had two MOH's (myself and other sister), now I'm having two MOHs (my sisters, naturally). If my sister didn't get married first and set precedent, honestly I don't know what I would do.

Re: advice on BP
Matron just means that the woman is married. If she is unmarried, then she's a maid. My best friend had both of her sisters as her maid & matron of honor, and I just went to a wedding over the weekend where the bride had both her sisters (who are both married) as her matrons of honor.
