advice on CRYING

advice on CRYING

with a short time to go....there is something I need to talk about that is really on my mind.
Its CRYING at my wedding.

I am a big cryer.....in private. This may seem very odd, but I have no problem crying in front of friends, FH, or even strangers. However, when it comes to parents or grandparents, the notion of crying is very uncomfortable to me when it is over emotional occasions. (I know this sounds wierd) Seeing either of my parents cry, or my grandmother cry makes me very uncomfortable b/c I don't know how to comfort them or react.

My mother died 2 years ago....I cried rivers of tears, but never in front of my Dad, or my Grandmother. I didn't want to cry b/c I didn't want them to start crying. I just cannot handle it. At her funeral, I stayed strong and didn't shed a single tear. For an entire year after, I cried every day prob. 3 hours a day....in private.

I am very worried about my Dad and my Grandmother's reaction at my wedding. I know they will cry......I know that this is normal and they are crying for a happy occasion; but it makes me very uncomfortable to see them cry. I am not an insensitive person at all; I just think that seeing them cry makes me uncomfortable b/c I don't know how to comfort/react.

How do others feel about this?

I am very similar...i HATE when people see me cry...i just want to be left alone to get it all out and feel better. As far as seeing your loved ones cry at your wedding...try and think of something happy or funny maybe? Because at this occassion it will be them crying tears of joy...i am sure i am of no help..haha..but i know how you feel at least

Sometimes, I can't help but let it all out...I am not one to hold back the tears...You are a very strong person and I admire you for that. I don't think you should hold back the tears on your Wedding day.
