The best man's 9 yr old daughter is so close to my FH, she calls him uncle. I am saving the duties of flower girl for our 'real/blood' niece, she has been dreaming of this day for ever and I want her to have this 'spot light'. However I'd like to give the best man's daughter a duty at the wedding, becuase we want her involved. I was thinking of having her carry a banner: 'here comes the bride' or something like that, Carry my train or give out the programs...
Any additional ideas that are not flower girl related?
Thanks ladies.

Re: Advice on ex-tra flower girl duties
I think anyone of those suggestions would be fine. I think that it's great you are including her but still allowing your niece to have the spot light.

Yes that would be very nice for her to do!

If she's courageous, she can do a reading. Or, she can hand out programs, petal cones, or other items. I like the idea of having her in the processional. I'm having 2 Junior Bridesmaids....they'll be 8 and 9. I'm asking them to do some of the above.
