honestly, i dont see how any relationship can really work unless you both have time to yourself.

it sounds a lot like mine/dh's relationship - i moved here to be with him and left behind all my friends and family so when i do go out it's with him and his friends and their girlfriends (who thankfully have become my friends). i do understand that he needs to go out and do things on his own too so i absolutely let him go out with the guys, but i always expect him to come home.
imho if you're married or engaged, you shouldn't be spending nights out. going out with friends during the day, at night, whatever without him is fine but i think it's the whole staying out overnight thing that's probably irking him and i agree with him there.

Show him the movie 'I Love You Man' and get him on some bro-dates! If he has 'the guys' to go hang out with he will be less dependent on you :)

Glad you talked to him about it. Its hard when you start living together at first , I remember arguing alot when me and FH moved in together! Plus being 24 you are going to still want to go out alot with your single friends ,so it's important to work it out before it becomes a huge issue. Im an old lady now so forget going out every week, we are lucky if we can time to see our friends once every couple months!

Glad it worked out! As I said before, I see nothing wrong with what you're doing- DH & I both stay at friend's house from time to time and we go on vacations alone too, so I'm glad it worked out for both of you!
