Advice, thinking of having a song written and recorded

for the reception as a suprise to FH. I am a singer, and was thinking of having someone write a song and I would record it for a special dance or something for the wedding.

Do you think this is a good idea, and if so, who should I contact?

love the idea? could you sing it at the wedding? i love live performances...so think that would make it even more special

i think its a cute idea.
If you know anyone who writes music or anything like that then go to them first, if not I am sure you can find someone in the yellow book or something like that. To record the song all you need to do is find a music place that has a recording booth, rent it out and record the song. You can ususally rent it out for an hour at a time and they supply the equipment and stuff for you. i know there is one around here somewhere but i cant remember the name of it...

omg i so love this idea. your so thoughtful. I wish i could sing. I was actully thinking about asking my really close friend to sing our wedding song his voice is absolutly to die for
