So many of 07 brides jump and asked our so called friends to be in the bridal party and are no looking for ways to kick them out!!!
So PLEASE wait until at least a year or less before asking!!!!

I second that, you want to aske people that will truly be there for the good and the bad. I know its hard to not ask everyone because you are so excited but wait and see what reactions you get out of people when you mention your wedding and your plans because people will suprise you.

I haven't asked anyone for that simple reason. I know certain girls but want to do something nice and I will do it once I have carefully picked out my girls.

Hi: I'm getting married a month before you. I've been engaged only three weeks and people are shocked that I haven't picked bridal party yet. When are you going to pick. I'm waiting cause one of my friends is going through a rough spot and $ is very tight for her, so I don't want her to feel obligated.

The whole 'asking the BP' has become such a problem for me! EVERYONE has asked us repeatedly who isin the BP, while we were in the company of people who basically are assuming that they are going to be in the party though I haven't asked yet!
It's making for a VERY awkward situation between me and two of my very good friends who basically know that they are going to be in it but I haven't officially asked them yet. It's gotten to the point where I'm moving things up and asking them this thursday cause I feel like I can't talk about my wedding with them cause it's uncomfortable and they don't know how to respond. . .
Waiting is a good idea if you CAN do it (we're waiting to ask the other members till the end of the summer which is easier and less awkward since they are people we don't see all that often) but sometimes it's nearly impossible to wait!

I totally agree with this. I've already had someone drop out because we are not inviting children. If I would have waited she probably would have told me she wouldn't be able to come becasue of this and it would have saved me some grief!!! This is great advice. You will actually see who is there for you during this time and that may help you make the decision of who to ask much easier.

I know I'm butting in but I am one of the guilty ones, and have to cut back the bridal party after FH decided to enlarge it. Please make sure you have planty of time to decide, think it over and make SURE they are who you want. I felt like :ach: 'now what do I do?' So please please please be really careful!

That wasn't necessary! I totally agree!! Make sure you ask when you are 100% sure!! A lot of 07 girls have regrets!! Gook Luck!!!

I haven't asked anyone to be in my BP yet. Mainly because we are all in college or just graduated and I haven't fully discussed the BP with my FI. And I am picking carefully I dont want anyone around me that day that will annoy me!
