Aegean Palace (Sandcastles)

Has anyone been to or know anyone who has gone to the Aegean Palace Resort in Crete, Greece?

(It's the resort that you can get a 10 free day stay at if you book your wedding at Sandcastles or Floral Terrace)

Ive only read about it before. This is what i learned.
The good:
the resort itself is very nice with spacious rooms on very prety grounds and its in a nice location, located between Chania and Plantanias. The suites have a private pool. Food is good quality. very clean and well maintained.

The not so good:
Its not really on the beach, the beach is across the street. Many wrote that there not much variety in the food. There is not much to do around the hotel especially in the evenings.
