My FI and I are starting to look for apartments. We found out that the Avalon communities set aside a certain number of units as affordable housing for people with an income below a certain level. Has anyone found any other apartment communites that have similar affordable housing units? Please let me know if anyone has heard of any.

Try contacting LI housing authority, they have a program called millenium hills, you fill out an application & then it goes into a lottery for affordable housing. They have rentals & houses to buy. I think there based out of Huntington.
