Re: Affordable Invites????
I would suggest maybe doing your own invitations? I'll be honest though I have seen the high end and lower end of invitations in my searches and I ended up just ordering mine- I went to Just Announce It! In Oceanside.

Re: Affordable Invites????
I got mine at Michael's. 50 in box for $40 but used 50% coupon. So 2 boxes for 100 invites was $42.00 (w tax). I was able to print them up using less than 1 cartridge of ink. Any left over, I changed wording and did my shower thank you notes and everyone was impressed that I co-ordinated those with my invites. Also any RSVP envelopes left over I used for tip envelopes. So that saves extra too. The design I chose was 5x7 card with vellum overlay attached together with a ribbon. These don't have inner envelopes so with only the RSVP and its envelope and 2 direction sheets, they were light enough for a 41 cent stamp too. This project was a saver. you might want to check the designs at Michaels and ACMoore for possibilities.
here's my finished one from wedding pics:

Re: Affordable Invites????
Invitations by Dawn had a lot of great invites for very reasonable prices. We ordered 125 invites (the invite only, no Reception cards or anything) and it was $90.10
We are mounting them in pocketfolds so we wound up spending more that we could have, but less than what all the budget maker things projected we'd spend. and that's after ordering all the supplies and other cards and what not.
if you like the pocketfold invites, we got ours from Kate's Paperie ... a pack of 25 for $18 we're ordering our reception cards and rsvp cards from vistaprint
also, there are a lot of great print your own invitations, and if you get blank ones you can design your own in paintshop or ask someone to help you do it.

Re: Affordable Invites????
I found exclusivelyweddings.com to be pretty affordable as far as having them printed goes.
For cheaper, I would say DIY is the way to go.
I see it aqs something to save $ on b/c people are going to throw them out either way.

Try exclusivelyweddings.com Their invitations are reasonably priced. I think they're cheaper compared to other companies.
