i hate to put it that way b/c i know many people think it's unwise to 'skimp' on this. however, we are buying a house and paying for most of this wedding ourselves. photographers are so expensive and it's the last thing i have to really book. i've been putting it off! anyway, one more question- do photographers require that they must be present during the WHOLE day? meaning, i really don't want him/her there from the first minute to the last (i know that sounds crazy) ANY info. would be greatly appreciated! thank you!!!!

I am using VIP Studios in Port Jeff Station with John Pagano. He seems to be pretty reasonable and they use 2 photographers.

What is affordable? I used Ed Collins and his packages start at $2500.

i am using arianna studios in commack. they were much less than patken and most other places. About 2900.00 with videographer.

I third Patken. They will work within your budget.
Leli Photography, Gary Leli in St. James. His packages start pretty low, and you can upgrade. Also Mark Kauffman starts with a basic package of about $2600 and yu can upgrade to $6K+.

PATKEN!!! In my opinion, they had the best prices and their work was amazing! I am very happy with my decision to go with Patken. They make a package for what you want..and I was so surprised when I got my pricebecause we are getting a TON of stuff. I thought we wouldnt be able to afford them when I saw Jenbabys's pictures, I thought theyd be out of my league..but they are GREAT!

Ya know who else had GREAT prices was Fredericks, hes not mentioned on here very ofetn, but I thought he did beautiful work and his prices were awesome. He was a very nice man..we probably would have went iwth him..but when we went to Patken, the price was better. But definately check out fredericks.

When we got married we used Queens Bridal Center. They were awesome. They also did our video. I know they have a location on Fresh Pond Road and I think one in Bayside as well.
