Affordable Veils?

This weekend I purchased my dress (YAY!!

). However, the veil that I fell in love with is a set and is $700! I never really put any mind to veils, but actually had 'the moment' when this veil was placed on me with my dress. Does anyone have suggestions of where to find affordable veils? I'm looking for an Angel cut Cathedral length crystal lined veil. The one I tried on was part of a set $400 for the long and $300 for the short. Is this normal? I'm not having any luck finding veils online. I'll be checking out Estelle's and David's Bridals for veils but any other suggestions are more than welcome. If you know of affordable headpeices, I welcome that as well. Thanks!

I've heard brides talk about barons (I think is the name) but it's def located in tri county in Levittown!

I got my dress at paradise and they put me in a cathedral length veil too. I went to Barrons, showed them a pic of my dress and the sample veil and they custom made me a beautiful veil for under $300

Did you check out lightinthebox.com? I got a cathedrial lenght veil there for under $100. I didn't want to spend too much since I'm just wearing it for the ceremony.

I didn't buy my veil yet, but I picked it out. It's from Lillette's, where I bought my dress. It is $250 I believe.

Thanks to everyone who has replied. I checked out Barron's this past weekend and was impressed. Mr. Karen gave me a decent quote for what I wanted and even offered different options for headpieces. To cover all bases I'm going to look into the other suggestions, but Barrons was great, I'm sure they will be my selection. Thanks Ladies!

Glad you liked Barron's! I just ordered my veil from there this past weekend. It was about 1/2 to 1/3 of the price my bridal salon wanted! He is also putting 2 loops on the veil so it can be bustled for my reception. I plan on wearing it all night

That's great! Yea he told me he could make my short and long veils on one detachable clip. I'm debating whether I want to wear the shorter veil for the reception or not. On one hand I feel a veil would just be too much to move around in all night, but then on the other hand, I really do love the look of the veil. Decisions, decisions lol.

I had gone to Barons on two separate occasions. Once alone and then i went back with my mom. The first time the owners son was there and give me one price. When i went back with my mom the owner was there and she quoted me 100 bucks less!! If you weren't pleased with the price go when she is there bc it may be less! :)

Great website and I thought about buying from there but they don't take returns so I'm leery because if I don't like it, I'm stuck and it's money wasted.
